Tom Rauscher Raucher/Robichaud Principal

Joy Robichaud Raucher/Robichaud Principal

Joy Robichaud oversees the design process for both remodeling and new construction projects at Rauscher/Robichaud. Her expertise lies in balancing function and beauty in each client space, whether she is updating a kitchen or working on an entire house from exterior paint and shingles to cabinetry hardware. Her imaginative and inspired designs have netted Joy numerous Trillium and Reggie awards.

Joy has been a designer for more than 20 years, with clients throughout the United States. She spent a decade honing her design skills at Charles Cudd Company. During her tenure at this high-end builder, Joy designed all of the model interiors and helped launch Charles Cudd’s retail furniture business. A college internship with a small builder confirmed Joy’s direction. She enjoyed the extensive client contact, and was exposed to every facet of the building design process.

Joy is energized by each client’s unique challenges. She delights in all phases of a design project, from initial concepts through final installation. Many clients return to Joy’s expertise as they downsize their residence, or add a second vacation home. Besides her Twin Cities clients, Joy’s work in various locales from Arizona to Wisconsin provides a myriad of architectural influences from which she draws inspiration.

Each year, Joy stays on top of new materials and furniture designs by attending the furniture markets at High Point, North Carolina. She and Tom also attend professional housing tours in California, so that they can offer the most innovative products and ideas to Rauscher/Robichaud clients.

Joy earned a B.S. in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. Her industry memberships include the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Minneapolis Builders Association.
